HomeAdvisor closing Colorado Springs office, cutting more than 200 jobs
ANGI Homeservices, based in Golden, is closing its HomeAdvisor sales and customer service center in Colorado Springs at the end of the year, eliminating about 220 jobs at the location.
“To accelerate our growth and to best position our company for the future, we’ve made the decision to consolidate our Colorado sales and customer care footprint, which means we’ll be closing our Colorado Springs location by the end of the year,” said company spokeswoman Mallory Micetich in a statement.
Affected employees can apply for openings at the company’s Golden and Denver locations and carry their tenure to the new jobs if hired. Five categories of customer service and sales jobs were listed in Golden, according to the company’s career website.
Those who stay through the end of the year will receive severance and services to help them find a new job.
“These decisions are never easy — we thank our Colorado Springs’ colleagues for their valued contributions and as we continue to grow HomeAdvisor’s operations, encourage them to apply for open positions at our other Colorado locations,” she said.
The office that is closing opened in 2016 in leased space at 9910 Federal Dr. Not facing job reductions are sales and customer service locations in Denver; Golden; Indianapolis; Olathe, Kan.; Chicago, and New York City, the company said.
