Commercial R.E. Coming in From the Cold

Commercial is no longer a separate division at NAR!

At the Smart Growth Advisory Board meeting, we heard NAR’s Director of Commercial Strategy Jean Maday speak about the association’s intent to include commercial REALTORS® in as many collaborative opportunities as possible within NAR. This is a long time coming and is welcomed by commercial members who have felt isolated within the NAR space.

As a new CCIM designee, I was thrilled to hear this. And as the 2020 Chair for Smart Growth I am doubly thrilled since commercial REALTORS® are subject matter experts in the field of growth and development providing valuable input to NAR’s Smart Growth Advisory Board.

According to Jean, commercial real estate creates jobs and jobs create homeowners. Makes perfect sense!
