UT approves $107.2M for new practice facility, upgrades
AUSTIN – The University of Texas Board of Regents has approved $107.2 million for three projects on the school's main campus.
Work starts this summer on a $60 million, 75,200-sf practice facility for the men's and women's basketball teams and women's rowing team. Completion is set for June 2022.
The sports facility will be adjacent to the Moody Center, which broke ground last year and will open in 2022.
The Blanton Museum of Art will receive $29 million in upgrades. Construction begins in October and will wrap up in November 2021.
Additionally, the George L. Sanchez Building will undergo $18.2 million in upgrades.
