Assisted-living community sells for $2.8M

​​​MOUNT VERNON – Vernon House, a 50-unit assisted-living community at 502 Meadowpark Dr., has been sold.

A local doctor acquired the community from an independent owner-operator for $2.8 million, or $56,000 per unit.

The 41,000-sf property sits on 2.5 acres and was constructed in 1994.

Senior Living Investment Brokerage arranged the transaction. The community was 58 percent occupied at the time of sale.​
