DALLAS-FORT WORTH – North Texas was one of the top industrial markets for foreign investment—a close second to Los Angeles—with more than $849 million in foreign capital pouring into the local market last year.
Investors from China and Singapore made up three quarters of the capital coming into DFW.
Overall, foreign investors accounted for $14.4 billion in U.S. industrial real estate acquisitions in 2018, which was 21 percent of the total investment volume in U.S. industrial assets.
Other top markets for foreign investment were Los Angeles ($910.1 million), Chicago ($618.4 million), Atlanta ($474.5 million), and New York ($414.2 million).
