Amazon's Austin expansion to bring 800 tech jobs

​​​​​​​AUSTIN – Amazon has leased 145,000 sf at Domain 10 and will add 800 tech-focused jobs.

New hires will be focused in software and hardware engineering, research science, and cloud-computing divisions.

The new office will be Amazon's third at The Domain when it opens in 2020. The company occupies 171,000 sf feet in the Domain 8 building and 76,000 sf in Domain 7.

The retail giant employs more than 5,600 workers in the Austin area, including more than 1,000 corporate-level staff members, more than 2,000 at warehouses in San Marcos,​​​ and 2,600 through Whole Foods Market.
